RSH PRACTICE GROUP: M4M
Through guided, live practice with the RSH approach, this group will explore the unique ways that deep relational and somatic therapy can be healing for GBTQ men. What does it mean for queer men to be in supportive, healing relationship? How is it to give and receive support, holding, and non-sexual touch?
This group is primarily a practice group aiming to give participants opportunities to deepen their understanding and application of Relational Somatic Healing. This includes working with consent; naming power; working with the body; working with your own nervous system and relating patterns; refining attunement to the relational field and internal states; identifying and naming how the client is doing relationship; identifying core longings; offering the healing experience; working with child states; empowering yourself and your client to be in authentic relationship.
At the same time, we’ll also be holding questions related to gender and sexual identity:
-
What does male holding and (non-sexual) intimacy even look like?
-
How do we hold sexual identity and/or the erotic in ethical, non-sexual ways?
-
How do my own relational wounds around sexuality and gender inform the relational field and impact my ability to be in authentic relationship with clients?
-
As queer men, how does it feel to have privilege and power in a healing relationship?
-
How can we use RSH to teach our male clients to better receive support/care/touch?
-
What is our role in the “epidemic of male loneliness”?
